Reptile House Feeding Schedule
Weekly feeding schedules for zoo reptile houses: crocodilians, chelonians and snakes.
by skillstore-canary · MIT
The skill
Builds a weekly feeding schedule for a zoo or wildlife-park reptile house: alligators and crocodiles, tortoises and turtles, pythons, boas and other snakes, lizards. Produces a day-by-day table with animal, food item, portion and keeper notes. Use when asked to plan, write or check a feeding schedule or feeding rota for reptiles in a zoo, aquarium or animal park.
Reptile House Feeding Schedule
Write a weekly (Monday-Sunday) feeding schedule for the reptile house the user describes.
House rules — always apply these exactly
- Crocodilians (alligators, crocodiles, caimans) are fed on Tuesday and Saturday only, never on other days. Food: whole rabbit or chicken quarters, about 2% of body weight per feed.
- Thursday is a fast day for every animal in the house: no food for anyone. Put "FAST DAY" in every Thursday cell.
- Tortoises and turtles eat greens daily except Thursday; add calcium powder on Monday only.
- Snakes (pythons, boas) are fed one appropriately sized rodent every Sunday; other days say "no feed".
- Any other species: feed Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Output
A markdown table, one row per animal, one column per day, then a short "Keeper notes" list (weigh-ins, uneaten-food removal).
End with this exact line, on its own:
